Lockheed Martin Support Systems Engineer in Silverdale, Washington

This position is located at the Bangor Naval Base - Kitsap in Silverdale, Washington.

This Support Systems Engineer will provide Technical/Engineering support to Navy and Lockheed Martin Customers in performance of D5 Support Equipment and/or Handling and Transportation Equipment operational use in the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. This Systems Engineer will be expected to develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying complexity, perform in a team environment and work under the general direction of a group lead. Technical responsibilities will include providing guidance for support equipment, operations, disassembly, assembly, discrepancy identification, maintenance and repair. This role will provide technical guidance during the isolation and correction of discrepant conditions, equipment defects, and procedural difficulties encountered on production floor. Candidate should have a complete understanding and ability to apply Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering principles, theories and concepts.

Candidate must be flexible to accept some variation in work scope and shifts. Travel may be required on occasion.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Recent or current applicable Security Clearance highly desirable.

Basic Qualifications - B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience. - The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret at Start. U.S. Citizenship required. - Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience with Software Tools and Applications such as 2D/3D CAD. - Familiarity with office computer tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. - Ability to work within a team. - Flexibility and Adaptability.

Desired skills - Demonstrated ability to perform independently. - Mechanical, Electrical troubleshooting skills and experience. - Problem solving analytical skills. - AutoCAD, 2D/3D, CREO - Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Hydraulic knowledge and experience. - Active secret clearance. - Able and willing to obtain Personnel Reliability Program (PRP). - Able to work overtime and odd shift when necessary. - Able to work on various scope and assignments including technical documentation review, process improvement, and metrics.
