What you’ll be doing…

We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join the Product Marketing Team to drive the strategy & execution of how we collaborate with our broad range of technology partners to market our joint solutions. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for communicating the value of Tableau’s ecosystem across multiple marketing campaigns, and also in working with the partners to communicate the value of Tableau’s partner offerings. This person will be responsible for working closely with all teams across the organization – primarily product, development, alliances, sales and marketing – to deliver effective positioning and messaging, content and marketing plans to drive clarity and success of our joint solutions to the marketplace.

This is a key role that requires the right balance of strategy and execution with a strong roll-up your sleeves and 'get it done' mentality. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player with expertise working in a fast paced, cross-functional manner to drive real impact. You are smart, innovative and have a strong business acumen to deliver bottom-line impact. This position is best suited for a product marketer with deep ecosystem knowledge and previous technology partner experience who is comfortable with a highly visible, cross-functional and strategic role.

Some of the things you’ll be doing will include… *

  • Define the strategy for working with Tableau’s 250+ technology partners in our joint product marketing efforts.

  • Manage the overall positioning and messaging of Tableau’s partner solutions.

  • Work directly with our technology partners to develop joint materials and campaigns.

  • Create product materials ranging from demos to web copy to presentations to whitepapers, and more to support marketing and sales efforts.

  • Coordinate with the greater marketing team to position Tableau’s partner solutions across multiple audiences, including the enterprise and IT.

  • Be a strong voice representing the customer and our technology partners across all conversations and projects.

  • Be a thought leader and act as a spokesperson for Tableau at events and with press and analysts

  • Present to audiences at live meetings, webinars and at a variety of Tableau events and tradeshows. Support the Tableau’s Sales team with demos, presentations and product knowledge.

Who you are…

  • Experienced . 5-10 years in a product marketing or product management role, or equivalent experience with specific focus on technology partner alliances.

  • Domain . Experience working with partners coupled with experience in the Analytics industry and a solid understanding of the broader ecosystem of vendors and solutions in the market. Working knowledge of AWS, GCP and Azure is highly desirable.

  • Strong Partner & Customer Focus. High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business through a customer & partner centric approach.

  • Passion and Conviction . Strong strategic marketing skillset, able to hone in on the core value proposition and customer benefit of the product.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills . Excellent writing ability, including the ability to communicate technical concepts. Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at the executive level.

  • Energy and Enthusiasm . Enthusiasm for a fast-growing, fast-changing environment. Strong entrepreneurial drive

  • Go Getter . The ability to own projects from start to finish. The ability to be a strong, consistent, clear voice at the table.

  • Technically Savvy . Proficiency with Tableau. Tableau product knowledge or the ability to learn it quickly. Understanding of basic analytical and statistical techniques.
