We are seeking a USFHP Referral Coordinator provides the administrative functions needed to support a smooth, efficient referral process.
In this position you will:
- Assist the utilization review and case management nurse with management of referrals an monitoring or institutional patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent; high school level command of spelling, grammar, basic composition, math and/or basic vocational completion of equivalent technical training.
Degree as LPN or health data services coder preferred.Two years’ experience in medical related field.
Familiarity with computers.
Previous experience in UR, health plan, or managed care environment.
Ability to frequently shift thinking and work processes between various lines of business, insurance plans, medical group practices and computer systems.
ICD9-CPT and DRG codes.
Punctual, dependable, self-motivated.
Maintains professional appearance.
Exercises confidentiality at all times.
Participates well as a member of a team.
Listens and communicates effectively; good telephone communication skills.
Organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
Research data; solve problems and think critically.
Prioritize work demands.
Demonstrate proficiency with PC based computer skills.
Basic mathematical calculations.
Operate a variety of office equipment; phone, fax, copier.
Demonstrated application of customer service skills.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
