US OCP Finance Business & Insights Controller

In Microsoft’s US One Commercial Partner (OCP) Finance team, we are looking to hire a strategic finance leader, with experience and passion for understanding our customer solution needs and partner capabilities to drive growth with our commercial customers.

This role will partner with the OCP business leadership and across the US Commercial finance controllers to scale partner impact across our commercial customers. This role will partner on delivering insights into our channel across the entire sales cycle, from planning efforts and forecasting, to investment planning and channel execution, and finally to reporting and analytics surrounding the partner ecosystem. Attention to detail and demonstrated strength in flexible financial modeling will be key to success in this role.


The successful candidate must have a proven track record in business partnering, excels at working through others and collaboration to drive impact, sharp analytical & financial modeling skills, and gets energy working in and leading others through ambiguity.

Key responsibilities include:

Partnership: This role has a significant business partnership component. The role will partner across the OCP leadership including finance and sales excellence.

Financial Modeling: This role requires leveraging analytics into insights to drive action and influence strategy and executive decision making with deep experience leveraging Microsoft internal systems and KPIs and development of analytical constructs.

Financial Aptitude: This role requires a strong working knowledge of revenue forecasting and budgeting, subscription revenue analytics, licensing, FP&A processes, Pricing, Marketing, and OPEX



  • Minimum 7 years of finance experience in a large organization including business partnering experience

  • Proven team player and collaborator who has demonstrated strong energy in ambiguous situations

  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including: analysis, forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models

  • Enterprise commercial & Partner/Channel experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple groups, responsive with strong customer service orientation.

  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and project management with proven ability to drive projects and analysis to closure

  • Strong ability, expertise and/or aptitude to work with Microsoft’s financial systems, policies, and tools (MS Sales, Mercury).

  • Excellent Excel and Office skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related degrees; MBA preferred
